If you hear a voice within you say "you cannot paint" then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.

You have to believe in yourself, you know. You have to believe in yourself for yourself and for the fulfillment of the path that is set before you. You can’t worry about whether a path is predetermined for your or if you are the one who sets a path. Some arguments are there to cause unnecessary internal conflict, wasting precious time. You have a purpose to fulfill. You have to discover that purpose and believe in its fulfillment.
You have to believe in yourself, you know. It’s the only way that the road ahead will become bearable, easier in some respects. Its’ the only way that you will appropriate the power of God to endure the rough things ahead.
You have to believe in yourself, more than ever. Because you may have to take paths less travelled and do things that don’t make sense. And you won’t always have support. But that doesn’t matter. Even if things don’t go as planned, the ability to stand for what you believe in, and for what is right, and of what God is affirming… There are too many people that are only bold because they have the backing of a crowd. They have powerful somebodies. But powerful people are people at the end of the day. They believe in their resources, their influence and what it permits them to do; they are anchored by these things.
What anchors you?
You have to believe in yourself. You have to believe in yourself. Yes, there are people who are able to do more with much less, but what’s stopping you from doing the same? They had to think differently, and be imaginative. They had to get creative with what was in front of them, rather than thinking about what wasn’t working. Use what you have to create what you want. Look at God. He commanded water to bring forth life of all kinds (Gen1:20). He didn’t go about wondering from which element he’d create the creatures. What was in front of him was sufficient; all he had to do was command it to be so, and it was so.
You have to believe in yourself. There’s nothing that is being done by others that they did not have to learn first. There are people specialized in certain fields, not because of natural talent, but they learned. They practiced. They believed. They saw the end result, and saw themselves getting there.
And that’s it: see the end result, and see yourself there. See the end of a thing and see yourself there. Know the end from the beginning. What does the end result look like? Call it forth, and begin to make the efforts now to see yourself there. The road to that end may not be what you anticipate, but it’s not the road that is the main concern. It’s what you want to see that has to be clear; and when you see it, it’s what you must hang on to, and must remember on the rough days. See yourself there and guard against anything that wants to take that away from you. When you know the truth, you’ll recognize that the lie is attempting to take the truth away from you. You’ll recognize it’s agenda to steal, to kill and to destroy. And not that the lie itself is doing that, but it’s manipulating you to do that yourself. To destroy by your own hand what you created.
Believe in yourself.
Just believe in yourself.
