Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself

April showers bring May flowers. New things,  new beginnings, new heights, everything new. It feels new but it’s just the same thing being beautified again. Regaining its beauty, regaining its strength, regaining life.

As everything around is receiving water and sunlight, as everything is changing from death to life, receive life as well. I hear that good things are on the horizon. You have to navigate the good and the unsavory, the unwanted, and the beautiful with a different perspective. Yes, perspective. Whether good or bad, one must maintain perspective.

A friend and I were talking about how the weather was beautiful for a while and we felt discombobulated by the sudden weather change. But she shared something that made me remember that whether good or bad, it’s a matter of perspective. So, no matter what is happening, no matter how it affects you and your surroundings, your perspective will determine how you move through it, and how you come out of it.

There’s a decision that has taken place that I don’t want; with my entire soul, I’m displeased, but a friend reminded me of perspective. And I woke up this up morning, remembering that what will change me will be a matter of the perspective that I maintain.

So, cheers to a changed mindset. Cheers to April showers transforming us from the coldness, the deadness of winter, and to anticipating the beauty of grander days.
