Put up, or shut up

Living with fear stops us taking risks, and if you don't go out on the branch, you're never going to get the best fruit.

|Sarah Parish|

Take a leap of faith.

Not just a small step for oneself. But a giant leap, the kind that brings heart palpitations. The kind that if God doesn’t deliver, you’re for a lack of better word, screwed. The kind where you place all your cards on the table. Where you no longer have options available. The only way forward is through.

If you don’t seize this one moment, there’s no guarantee of another quite like it. If you don’t go, despite the fear, everything here-after will be settling. You’ll convince yourself that it isn’t; that you’ll make the most of everything, but it won’t be quite like this. Whatever is holding you back, kick it off and push forward. Whoever is holding you back, kick them out of the way without apology, and move forward. If it’s you getting in your way, decide if it’s worth it to stay where you are. If you’re content where you are, let no complaint ever be raised about where you are. If you are not, then move.

It's now or never. Look at everything around. It’s dying. Leaves are changing colour, the weather is getting crispier, the wind and the chill in it is announcing the arrival of a new season. Hear it also announce the arrival of your new season. If you don’t change, you’ll be ill prepared for what’s to come. If you don’t change, you’ll be crystallized in regret. You’ll be like Lot’s wife, who, looking back forfeited her future to the past, and remained there.

So, you choose. The year is fast coming to an end.

It’s now or never.

Put up, or shut up, sis!
