"And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified."
Romans 8:30

I’m grateful for this open door. I’m grateful that I can now walk through to possess my possessions. I’m glad that the time for struggle has ended. I can now soar to glorious heights and be fully engaged in my work. Engaged in my calling.
I read something interesting yesterday in 1 Corinthians 1:26-29. I read that I, who is not even considered wise, wealthy, or powerful by world standards, have been called by God, who takes the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and the weakest things to confound the mighty. And because of this, I cannot boast in anything other than Jesus. Thus, as I go through this open door, it’s not because of myself, or of what I possess on my own, or cultivated on my own. I have been made powerful in Christ; I have been made strong in Christ; I have been made capable in Christ. I have been made in Christ. I cannot boast in my own work, for it is the power of Christ in me completing it. I cannot twist myself or mold myself or follow the standard of a world that does not even consider me worthy --- but unto Christ, who has given me value and something to boast in: himself.
Truly, what is it that I have that I did not receive? So, how can I boast as though I did not receive it? How can I boast in a glory for which I am not the source?
The calling isn’t because of you. It’s because of Jesus Christ.

"Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began..."
