Do not compare yourself to anyone. Whether they started before you, soon after you, or whatever, you’re not to measure yourself by anyone’s progress or lack of it. You’re not to measure your progress or lack of it against anyone else’s. You have challenges that are unique to you. Your focus is to overcome those things in order to succeed in what you are doing. Someone out there has a similar challenge to you; and by you overcoming, you’ll be able to help them. But if you focus on how that challenge is a hindrance, and you begin to compare yourself, you’ll not overcome fully, and you miss the growth opportunity presented before you.
Have faith in yourself. Believe that you are qualified, capable, and are meant to do this. It doesn’t require validation from other people. And even if it seems left field for others, let it not be left field for you. You know that you’re propelled by your spirit to create this. Do not yield to perceptions that are not helping you in your destiny. These perceptions are there to be overcome, not to overcome you. You’re to rise above them, not yield to them.
Do your work diligently. Your work will reward you, and your work will speak for you.
It’s none of your business what others think about who you are and what you are doing. Do what your spirit is telling you to do. And do it well. Believe in yourself. Unlock that vault of excellence, passion, drive and run with it. You’ll be successful and you’ll achieve all of your goals.
Remember: there is no other way around this, but to go through it. Have faith. Take a step of faith, and another, and another. Write down affirmations everyday if you need to. Put them where you can see them. Search for examples online if you don’t know where to start. Print some out even. Be encouraged. Rome was not built in a day, but it got built. So get started.
