I love you, I really do. I know that sometimes I forget you and I don't speak nicely to you. I know I get impatient, and in my frustration I say things that I don't mean; things that are hurtful and at times spirit-crushing. I promise that from today on-wards I will be kind to you. I will speak gently. When I get angry, or frustrated, impatient with you or with life, I will stop, take a breath, and speak life into you. I will speak life into you because you give me life; you give me strength and you push me to carry on even when all the energy has left me. You have been a rock these past few years. I know you have been struggling, and you have lost more than you thought you ever would; i know hope, like morning mist, dissipated swiftly and effortlessly. I know you have been having a tough time with everything. I promise to stop adding to your burden. I promise to encourage and empower you when I can. I am sorry that I have added to your burden. I am sorry that I didn't love you when you needed me; I'm sorry that I have not been taking care of you as I promised I would. I love you. I have always loved you. My vow to you is to show you this love everyday in my words, and my actions. I know I will fail in many ways, but I vow to be intentional with you and show you how valuable you are to me. I hope that you can forgive me, and I hope with time you will see how sorry I am. I love you. And I will never stop.
